Home Bound Service Program:
The McBride & District Public Library, along with the Family Literacy program at the Robson Valley Support Society, wish to ensure that every resident of the Robson Valley can access our books, DVDs, audiobooks and magazines for free. Our staff and/or volunteers will pick-up and deliver library materials for free to individuals who are homebound. Our goal is to promote and support quality of life and learning with great resources for all our community members!
If you, or someone you know, are unable to leave your home to come to the library but would enjoy reading books or magazines, listening to books on CD or music CDs, or watching DVDs from the library collection, let us know! We will work with each individual to select materials that they are interested in. Patrons can place a hold on library materials from their home via the internet, or a staff person may choose titles for them. A profile of reading interests and a list of the materials read is kept for each participant. Everyone’s reading interests are strictly confidential and are only available to staff.
