Our Vision: We envision a community where everyone enriches the world in their own way.
Our Mission: The library aims to be the heart of community connections.
- Inclusion: Ensuring a safe, accessible, and welcoming place where everyone is respected.
- Quality services that reflect our community and support our diverse interests and needs.
- Each person’s right to intellectual freedom, privacy, and lifelong learning support.
- Collaboration: Working in partnership to share expertise, encourage innovation, stretch limited resources, and ensure that our services make sense for our community.
After 20 years of planning, fundraising, and renovations, the McBride & District Public Library moved into our new home at the Robson Valley Exploration and Learning Centre – a shared space with the Valley Museum & Archives Society – in May, 2018.
Trustees and staff developed a new strategic plan in January, 2019 with support from Spirited Exchanges Consulting and Nancy Taylor. This plan will help us meet our community’s evolving needs, and take us forward as we settle in our new home. Click here to view our 2019 – 2021 Strategic Plan.
